A digital game and teaching tool

How do Roma feel when they have to deal with prejudice, stereotypical judgements and systematic mistrust from the majority society when going about their daily lives? The educational game Andre Miri Cipa / In My Own Skin conveys this experience through the stories of three young people growing up in Czech society.
The game introduces pupils to a hopeful yet uneasy environment. During a trip to the countryside, we meet a group of friends. Through their stories, we experience situations related to the racism, prejudice and social exclusion Roma in Czechia face.
Andre Miri Cipa / In My Own Skin employs the concept of a future in which racism has almost been eradicated. Yet from this perspective, the characters return to painful experiences from the past, showing that situations we often regard as commonplace today are anything but normal.
